PS5, PS5 Digital Edition India pre-orders sold out in minutes

The PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition were available for pre-order in India today at 12 noon. The much-awaited console restock did not last long, however, as Gadgets 360 reports that all major retailers were out of PS5 stock at 5 minutes past 12.

PS5 demand in India continues to outdo supply, as is the case across the world, and Sony has admitted the global shortage will continue till at least 2022.

This was the first PS5 restock in India, and the first PS5 Digital Edition sale, nearly four months after the console’s launch. There is no word on when Sony may send PS5 stock to India again.
