Pune teenage girl abducted, gangraped for over 5 days; eight arrested

A teenage girl was abducted and gang-raped by eight men for over five days in Pune.

The 14-year-old girl is a 7th standard student and had gone to railway station to wait for a friend. An auto-rickshaw driver befriended her and when her friend did not turn up, he offered to drop the minor home but took her to a room in an unknown location, where he and his associates raped her.

In her statement, the victim said eight people took turns to physically exploit her over the next five days.

All the accused which include six auto drivers and 2 railway employees have been arrested and booked under POCSO Act.
