Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal was on Tuesday detained while leading a massive protest outside Punjab CM Amarinder Singh's residence in Siswan.
The Akali Dal chief has sought a probe by the CBI into the alleged irregularities in the sale of Covid vaccines and procurement of medical kits for coronavirus patients.

"If a storm rises, Captain won't be able to stop it, even if he uses all his force. There is scam in vaccination, there is scam in Fateh Kit, there is scam in SC scholarship, farmers' land is being acquired," Badal said before getting detained.

Badal has demanded the dismissal of the state's Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu.

Akali Dal's new ally BSP also joined the protest against the chief minister.
