According to Reuters, Qualcomm has received a license from the US government to sell 4G mobile phone chips to Huawei.

The American company didn’t say which chips were allowed and it isn’t clear whether the license would apply to its higher-end, 5G-equipped processors.

This comes as an exemption to US trade restrictions imposed against the Chinese tech firm and a couple of months after Huawei announced that it was running out of processor chips.
