Rafale fighter jets joined the Indian Air Force formally on Thursday in a grand ceremony. There was an all-religion prayer to welcome the new and fiercest entrant to the Air Force. A majestic water cannon salute to the IAF's ferocious new birds in the arsenal. A flypast that saw Rafale taking to the skies flanked by Sukhoi 30 and Jaguar aircraft. And then breathtaking display by the Sarang Aerobatic Team at the Ambala airbase. The multi-role French-made fighter jets will become a part of the IAF's 17 Squadron "Golden Arrows". A second batch of four-five Rafale jets is likely to arrive in India by November
