Suspense over the Wankhade track for India's 2nd Test vs New Zealand continued as the wicket remained under covers on Wednesday. Both sides were forced to cancel their training sessions due to constant rain.
Sadly, rain is expected to hamper play on the opening day of the Test on Friday as well. According to Weather.com, there's a 41% chance of rain on December 3 and morning showers might delay the start of play. However, rain is expected to stay away for the next 2 days, while Day 4 and Day 5 of the Test match are expected to be sunny.
Both India and New Zealand arrived in Mumbai from Kanpur on Tuesday evening for the second and the final Test of the series. Virat Kohli, who was rested for the 1st Test, is set to return and take captaincy duties back from Ajinkya Rahane. The 2-match series is locked at 0-0 after the Kanpur Test ended in a draw.
