In a body blow for Rajasthan Royals, Jofra Archer has been ruled out of IPL 2021 as confirmed by the English cricket board. Archer underwent elbow surgery after getting injured during England's tour of India before IPL. He was expected to join the Jaipur based IPL team after a few games but his progress as assessed by the ECB medical team ruled him out of IPL 2021. Royals are already on the bottom of the IPL points table and are struggling in the absence of Ben Stokes who was ruled out with a broken finger and Liam Livingston who went home citing bio-bubble fatigue.
