Report: ARM Holdings may be sold to NVIDIA for $40 billion

According to the Wall Street Journal, chipmaker ARM Holdings may be sold by parent company SoftBank, to graphics chipmaker NVIDIA for over $40 billion. Sources say is close to finalising a deal with NVIDIA, and have reportedly been in talks for several weeks. The deal, which would be one of the largest semiconductor buyouts in history, would turn a profit for SoftBank, that acquired ARM in 2016 for $32 billion
