According to reports, Apple was hit with a ransomware attack ahead of its April 20 'Spring Loaded' event. The group, named REvil, reportedly demanded a ransom in order to not have data of its next-generation devices leaked. Reports say the group asked for a $50 million ransom to give back access of a computer network it hacked, that belonged to Apple supplier Quanta Computer. The firm reportedly refused to pay the amount, after which the attackers posted alleged details of upcoming Apple devices that were to be revealed during the April 20 Event.
