Reports of ward boy dying after vaccination are fake: Centre claims

After it was reported by various media outlets that a 46-year-old health worker had allegedly died a day after receiving the coronavirus vaccination, the Health Ministry said on Monday that the news was "fake". Quoting his family members it was reported that Mahipal Singh, a ward boy in the surgical ward of the state-run Deendayal Upadhya hospital in Moradabad, died on Sunday night after getting vaccinated on Saturday. PTI said a high-level inquiry was being ordered, according to the Moradabad District Magistrate Rakesh Singh. Chief Medical Officer Dr Milind Chandra Garg told PTI that the cause of death was a cardiac problem.
