Russia's Sputnik V vaccine to be available in market by next week: Govt

Russia's Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V, will be available in India from early next week, the Union Health Ministry announced on Thursday. Niti Aayog’s Dr VK Paul, who is also part of the govt's Covid-19 task force said, the first batch has arrived and more will be arriving from Russia. He added that Sputnik V will be produced in India from July onwards, and India is looking to produce 15.6 crore doses of the Russian Covid vaccine with Hyderabad-based Dr Reddy's Laboratories as a partner.
