Saira Banu rushed to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital after heart attack, she's now in the ICU

Veteran actress Saira Banu has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital on Wednesday. 

The 77-year-old actress was rushed to the hospital, three days ago after she suffered a minor heart attack. Reports say, she is now stable and has close family members by her side.  

Saira Banu recently suffered a personal tragedy when she lost her husband Dilip Kumar. The legendary actor passed away at the age of 98 due to age-related complications.

Saira, who has always been a self-confessed fan of Dilip Kumar, had earlier said that many women wanted to marry her late husband, but he chose her every time.

Saira Banu was among the Hindi film industry's highest paid actresses in the 1960s, but she happily gave up her acting career to be a homemaker in 1976, after she married Dilip Kumar.
