Counterpoint Research has reported that Samsung has managed to widen its share of the smartphone market with Chinese tech firm Huawei, now making up 22% of global smartphone sales for the month of August. The report says that compared to April, Samsung has gained 2% market share over Huawei, that now sits at just 16%, down from 21% in April. Amid mounting anti-China sentiment both in India and abroad, Samsung has managed to capitalise on the situation, especially after markets reopened in July and August around the world.
