Bhuj: The Pride of India
‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ is about Indian Air Force Squadron leader Vijay Karnik’s character played by Ajay Devgn. The film follows the story of Karnik’s heroic act of helping restore the Bhuj Indian Air Force (IAF) airbase, destroyed by Pakistani bombers during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Sanjay will portray the late Indian Army Scout, Ranchordas Pagi, in the film, which will release on Disney+ Hotstar on August 13.
K.G.F Chapter 2
‘K.G.F Chapter 2' is the highly anticipated follow-up to the 2018 Kannada period action film ‘K.G.F: Chapter 1’. Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist, Adheera, a dacoit in the film. Sanjay has described the character as ‘fearless, powerful, and ruthless’, adding that 'Adheera' is one of the craziest roles he has portrayed so far. Sanjay Dutt went through a lot of physical and mental preparation for the role, the actor says it took about 1.5 hours for his make-up to get the right look.
Prithviraj
'Prthiviraj' is a historical drama on the life of 12th-century warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan, played by Akshay Kumar. Sanjay Dutt will portray the role of Chauhan’s uncle, 'Kaka Kanha', a blind man, who assisted the ruler of Ajmer in his battles.
Shamshera
Set in the 1800s, 'Shamshera' is a period drama for which Sanjay Dutt has teamed up with his 2012 ‘Agneepath’ director Karan Malhotra. The film tells the story of a dacoit tribe who fight for their rights and independence against the British. Ranbir Kapoor who plays a double role, will be seen in the titular character, while Sanjay Dutt essays the antagonist.
