Serbia's first female and openly gay prime minister Ana Brnabic will take reins of the office for the second term after her party, the Serbian Progressive Party, registered a landslide victory in the country's elections.
Brnabic was appointed as PM on Monday by Aleksander Vucic, the president of Serbia and the leader of the Serbian Progressive Party.
Brnabic made headlines in 2017 after she became the 12th Prime minister of Serbia. Although she faced criticism by the traditional conservative Serbian society, she soon rose to prominence as a non-partisan, UK-educated leader.
