Nationalism and export restrictions can hit the 2 million vaccine target set by the WHO, that is the word coming in from Adar Poonawalla.

The Serum CEO cited lack of supplies and restricted access to materials required for vaccine productions as the biggest hurdle at this point.

Poonawalla, in an interview to Bloomberg said, "Many manufacturers, including Serum, already have missed timelines and commitments due to material shortfalls."
