Setback for Chirag Paswan as LJP MPs gang up against him

Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan, who is reeling under a humiliating defeat in Bihar, has more trouble at hands.

His party's Lok Sabha MPs have now ganged up against him and have decided to remove him as their parliamentary party leader. According to news agency ANI, 5 of the 6 LJP MPs have met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and have informed him that they intend to replace Chirag Paswan with Hajipur MP Pashupati Kumar Paras as the new leader of the LJP in Lok Sabha. The LJP has six MPs in the Lok Sabha.

Chirag has been having tumultous time running party since his father Ram Vilas Paswan's death. The party MPs who have now rebelled against Chirag Paswan's leadership in the Lok Sabha are not happy with the working style of Chirag Paswan following the demise of his father, former Union minister and patron of LJP.
