While the India International Cherry Blossom Festival held every year in Shillong may be cancelled this time around, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the streets will stun with the pink blooms.
The trees are expected to be in full bloom by early November and the buds are set to appear in the coming week.
Every corner of the east and west Khasi hills will be pretty in pink with the cherry blossoms.
If you do plan to visit Shillong to have a look at the blossoms, you need to show a negative Covid report, which is no more than 72 hours old.
