Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut on Sunday welcomed Union Home Minister Amit Shahs remark that Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari could have chosen his words better while writing to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on reopening places of worship in the state.
Koshyari in his letter to Thackeray asked if the Shiv Sena president had "suddenly turned secular," triggering a war of words.
While talking to a TV channel, Raut thanked the Union Home Minister for his stand on the matter and said that Shah has spoken with responsibility and caution, in line with the Constitution of India. Raut also dismissed speculation that Shah was being soft on the Shiv Sena and denied a political connotation.
