Sitaram Yechury's 34-year-old son dies of Covid-19

CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury’s eldest son Ashish Yechury passed away due to Covid in New Delhi on Thursday morning. He was just 34 years old. Ashish had tested positive for Covid-19 two weeks and was under treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon. His death came as a shock to the family as he was reported to have been recovering well. Sitaram Yechury tweeted on Thursday morning on the death of his son. He also thanked doctors and nurses who treated his son. Ashish was a senior copy editor with a leading newspaper in New Delhi
