The Congress in Himachal has complained that a plaque with party chief Sonia Gandhi's name has been removed from the Atal tunnel that was inaugurated by PM Modi on October 3. The party said that the foundation stone of the strategically important tunnel was laid by Sonia Gandhi in 2010 and has alleged that the plaque bearing her name was removed ahead of the opening. Congress leaders have threatened to launch a state-wise agitation is the plaque is not re-installed. The party has termed the removal of stone "undemocratic, unconventional and illegal".
