Sony's highly anticipated Xperia Pro 5G smartphone has been launched in the US. The device is targeted at professional photographers and videographers, with the Xperia Pro getting an HDMI input that lets the phone screen be used as an external camera monitor. Sony says the phone can take up to a 4K 60fps HDR video stream, and should work with all cameras that can output HDMI video. Moreover, with sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G support, the Xperia Pro can also live-stream high quality footage to streaming platforms directly. The device runs on the Snapdragon 865 chip with 12GB RAM and a 5,000mAh battery. There's a 6.5-inch 21:9 aspect ratio OLED screen, which has a resolution of 3840x1644, and a 12MP triple rear camera setup. The Xperia Pro is currently being offered only in the US, at a price tag of $2,499.99
