The ICC on Wednesday announced that BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has been appointed as the chairman of the ICC Cricket Committee.
The former India captain replaced Anil Kumble, who stepped down having served a maximum of three, three-year terms. ICC chairman Greg Barclay said that Ganguly's experience as one of the world’s best players and latterly as an administrator will help cricket's governing body shape their cricketing decisions moving forward.
Barclay also credited Kumble for improving the international game through a more regular and consistent application of DRS and a robust process for addressing suspect bowling actions.
