Debutant Sneh Rana took 3 wickets as Deepti Sharma took 2 to help the Indian women's team fight back on day 1 of the only Test vs England in Bristol. After Captain Heather Knight scored 95, England were in a spot of authority at 230 for 2 but then the next 21 runs came at the cost of 4 wickets as Indian spinners ran riot. Playing their first Test match in 7 years, the women's team showed incredible fightback as they dismissed the English middle order cheaply. England huffed and puffed to 269/6 at stumps with the match evenly poised right now.
