It's Virat Kohli's world once again and we are just living in it.
The ex-India skipper is not just back amongst runs but has once again become a nightmare for the bowlers. Kohli tamed the Bangla Tigers on Wednesday with his 3rd half-century of the T20 World Cup 2022.
In the process of scoring an unbeaten 44-ball-64, Virat became the leading run-getter in the history of the T20 World Cup. He now has 1065 runs in just 23 innings at a whopping average of over 88. Virat leapfrogged Mahela Jayawardene to achieve the feat. Chris Gayle is at No.3 while Rohit Sharma takes the 4th spot.
Moreover, Kohli now also has the most runs by an Indian in Australia across formats as he left behind Sachin Tendulkar.
He has so far scored 220 runs in 4 innings in this edition of the T20 World Cup and has the best average and most fifties.
