With KL Rahul ruled out due to injury, the BCCI has named wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan as his replacement in India's squad for World Test Championship Final against Australia next month.
Rahul was ruled out of the marquee encounter at the Oval after sustaining another thigh injury during the ongoing IPL and subsequently had to undergo surgery in Mumbai.
The Indian board also provided updates on Jaydev Unadkat who injured his left shoulder after tripping over the side rope in the nets. Unadkat is currently undergoing strength and rehab sessions and a decision on his participation will be taken later.
Umesh Yadav, who was out of action due to a minor left hamstring injury, had started low-intensity bowling in the nets for KKR.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, Mukesh Kumar & Suryakumar Yadav, meanwhile, were named as the standby players for the summit clash.
