Commonwealth Games 2022: Two Indian athletes fail dope test ahead of Birmingham Games

India's medal prospects at the 2022 Commonwealth Games were dented after two Indian athletes failed their dope test. 

India's 4x100m relay specialist, Dhanalakshmi Sekar, and triple jumper Aishwarya Babu have failed the dope tests just a week before Birmingham 2022.

Dhanalaksmi's samples were collected in Kazakhstan's Almaty, where she was preparing for the USA World Championships but later opted out of the event owing to visa issues.

Meanwhile, national record holder Aishwarya's superb performance at the inter-state championships in Chennai caught the attention of the authorities, and subsequently, she failed the dope test conducted by NADA officials.
