World Champion Nikhat Zareen continued her march at the Commonwealth Games to reach the final of her 50kg category.

Nikhat beat home favourite Savannah Stubley of England by a unanimous 5-0 decision to qualify for the Gold medal clash. She’ll now face Northern Ireland’s Carly McNaul in the final on Sunday.

Like Nikhat, Amit Panghal too reached the final with a 5-0 win over Zambia’s Patrick Chinyemba. The 2018 Silver medalist will face England’s Kiaran Macdonald in the gold medal bout.

Meanwhile, Nitu Ganghas too made India proud with a superb show in her 48kg category. The Indian was so dominant against Canada’s Priyanka Dhillon that the referee had to stop the contest midway through the third round. She’ll take on England’s Demie-Jade Resztan in the summit clash.

There was disappointment though for Jaismine Lamboria in the 60 kg category, with her passive approach bringing about an end to her campaign in the semis. She had to settle for Bronze after losing to England’s Gemma Paige Richardson.
