Indian squash player Saurav Ghosal defeated former World No. 1, England’s James Willstrop in the 3rd place playoff to take home the bronze medal in the Men’s Singles event.
The top ranked Indian squash player won in straight games against the Englishman 11-6, 11-1, 11-4.
The 35-year-old, who lost to World No. 2 Paul Coll of New Zealand in the semi-finals on Tuesday, turned up the heat and put on a scintillating display in the bronze medal match.

His bronze medal is only the 4th medal in squash for India at the Commonwealth Games, and Ghosal just couldn’t hold back the tears after his victory. A big moment for the Indian veteran.
