CWG Table Tennis: Sharath Kamal & Sathiyan Gnanasekaran fall at the final hurdle in Men’s Doubles

The Indian pair of Achanta Sharath Kamal & Sathiyan Gnanasekaran had to settle for a Silver medal in the men’s doubles after losing to defending Champions Paul Drinkhall & Liam Pitchford in the final.

It was a repeat of the gold medal match 4 years back when the Indian pair had lost a very close contest to the English duo.

Even though the Indians started the match with an 11-8 win in the first game, the Englishmen won the next two 11-8. 11-3.

India then levelled the tie 2-2 with an 11-7 score but unforced errors and some great shots from Drinkhall & Pitchford saw the Indians lose the decider 4-11.
