Outstanding half-centuries from Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam helped Pakistan win the 2nd ODI by 1 wicket in order to clinch the 3-match ODI series 2-0 against Afghanistan in what was a nail-biting thriller on August 24.
Opting to bat first, Afghanistan got off to a great start thanks to openers Gurbaz (151) and Zadran (80), who put up a huge 227-run partnership for the first wicket which helped their side put up a challenging total of 300/5 in the end.
In reply, Pakistan didn't have smooth sailing going into the chase despite Imam (91) and Babar's (53) brilliant knocks.
The talking point of the match however, was when Afghanistan's Fazhalhaq Farooqi showed great awareness by dismissing Shadab Khan at the non-striker's end in the final over as the batter left his crease before the delivery in his bid to take the strike from Naseem Shah.
But that didn't stop Naseem from becoming Pakistan's hero yet again as his 10-run cameo proved to be decisive in clinching the ODI series for Pakistan.
