South Africa have chosen Aiden Markram as their new captain in T20Is.
The 28-year-old replaces Temba Bavuma, who has been dropped altogether for the upcoming T20I series against the West Indies in March. Bavuma though will continue to lead the side in ODIs.
Markram's stocks as T20 captain went up after he won the inaugural SA20 with Sunrisers Eastern Cape. He was also named captain for the 2023 edition of the IPL by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
