Yuvraj Singh's six sixes have been one of the most memorable memories for every Indian cricket fan. And, for young batting sensation Ruturaj Gaikwad too, the former Indian cricketer has been an inspiration.

After smashing 7 sixes during the Vijay Hazare Trophy quarterfinal, the cricketer who was playing for Maharashtra revealed how he hit his 6th and 7th six while recalling Yuvraj's amazing feat who had hit 6 sixes off Stuart Broad in the 2007 World Cup. After the 5th maximum, Gaikwad told BCCI.tv, 'the only person that crossed my mind was Yuvraj Singh, I had seen him hit sixes in an over when I was very young, I wanted to be alongside him that's why I wanted to go for the 6th'

Gaikwad created a List A world record when he pulled off astonishing seven sixes in a 43-run over off Uttar Pradesh's Shiva Singh in Ahmedabad. The 25-year-old carried his bat through the innings for a sensational unbeaten knock of 220 runs in 159 balls, which contained 10 fours and 16 sixes in the Vijay Hazare Trophy quarterfinal game.
