Apex Council meeting: BCCI skips discussion on India's T20 World Cup performance -Reports

BCCI Apex Council, in their first meeting, skipped the discussion on Team India's embarrassing performance at the T20 World Cup 2022, as per a Sportstar report.

The Council also avoided discussion around the appointment of a new captain or coach for Team India in the shortest format of the game. As per reports Hardik Pandya was expected to replace Rohit Sharma as the skipper in the T20 format. The Indian board will wait for the selection committee to be appointed before taking any decision.

In the meeting, however, the fate of the jersey sponsors was discussed and as per reports Team India's jersey sponsor Byju's is set to continue with the Men in Blue until March 2023. MPL Sports is also set to continue as Team India's kit and merchandising sponsor until March 2023.
