Usman Khawaja returned to Test cricket after over 2 years and on the back of 2 hundreds in the 4th Ashes Test, he made sure that the selectors couldn't drop him from the playing XI and that's exactly what happened.

Khawaja will now open the batting for the Aussies in the 5th and final Test vs England and has replaced Marcus Harris.

Khawaja was brought into the side after regular number 5 batter Travis Head was forced into isolation after testing positive for Covid-19. But he has now recovered and will take back his batting slot.

With pacer Scott Boland under an injury cloud and Josh Hazlewood being ruled out due to an injury, Australia is yet to decide on their bowling attack for the Hobart Test starting January 14.
