Asia Cup 2022 full schedule : Asia's biggest cricket extravaganza is set to begin on August 27 (Saturday) in UAE.
In the first match of the Asia Cup 2022, Sri Lanka will lock horns with Afghanistan at Dubai International Stadium on Saturday.

However, all eyes will be on the high-octane clash between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan, who will play against each other on August 28 (Sunday).

The defending champions India, the most successful team, in the continental tournament will be eyeing their record 8th title this time around.
Meanwhile, Pakistan, who always have been a good international side, will be eyeing their third title. While Sri Lanka have won the Asian title 5 times with Bangladesh and Afghanistan yet to open their account.
This is only the second time that the continental tournament will be played in the T20 format. The last time, Asia Cup has held in the T20 format was in 2016, when India defeated the hosts Bangladesh by eight wickets in the final to clinch the title.
This time around the tournament will be played in a double round-robin format. The six teams are divided into two groups. Group A comprises India, Pakistan and Hong Kong while Group B has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 4s, where each team will play against the other three once. The top two teams in Super 4s will play the final on September 11.
