Unless you have been living under a rock, you know India’s love for cricket and especially if the match is against Pakistan.

Though the arch-rivals now only lock horns in ICC tournaments or the Asia Cup, it still remains as one of the biggest cricketing rivalries. Emotions often run high in these high-octane clashes as the world has seen some ugly fights when India take on Pakistan. Here are 3 of those.

Gautam Gambhir vs Shahid Afridi

Gautam Gambhir is someone who is known to give it back to the opposition on the field and Shahid Afridi got a first-hand experience of Gauti's wrath. During an ODI match in 2007 the former Pakistan skipper uttered a few words to Gambhir, who then collided with Afridi as the two had a heated exchange before the players and umpires separated the two.

Gautam Gambhir vs Kamran Akmal

The second fight also features Gambhir as this time the southpaw had an ugly fight with Kamran Akmal in a 2010 Asia Cup match. Gambhir confronted Akmal for making a fake appeal against him which sparked a vernal debate between the two cricketers. This time captain cool MS Dhoni intervened and asked Gambhir to keep his cool.

Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar

Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar may be friends off the field but on it, emotions ran high for both the bowlers. In the same Asia Cup game of 2010, Akhtar tried to sledge Bhajji as the match went down to the wire. The Pakistani pacer bowled bouncer at Harbhajan in a death over and gave him a mouthful as well. But Harbhajan had the last laugh as he sealed an emphatic win with a six. What followed still remains as one of the best celebrations in Indian cricket.
