Suryakumar Yadav, who proved to be the difference between India and Hong Kong in the Asia Cup game on Wednesday night, was left in awe of Virat Kohli following the former India captain's incredible gesture towards him.
Impressed by Surya's explosive 26-ball-68, Kohli bowed down to the 31-year-old batter after India's innings as a mark of respect. This was something Surya wasn't expecting. In the post-match press conference, he said that it was a heart-warming gesture for him as he had never seen anything like that in the past.
India had a slow start and was going at a run rate of around 7 an over till the 13th over. But then arrived Surya and turned the game on its head. He stitched a 98-run stand with Virat off just 42 deliveries and powered India to a commanding position.
'He is such an experienced batter and I really enjoyed batting with him. That's what I told him after the first innings and even after the match,' added Surya.
