South Africa batters hung on to salvage a draw in the third and final test against Australia in Sydney, with the hosts winning the series 2-0.
The Aussies only managed to take 2 wickets on Day 5 after enforcing a follow-on on South Africa which resulted in a tame draw in the end.
Despite Australia coming out as victorious in the series, the draw benefitted Rohit Sharma's India in their pursuit of reaching their second consecutive World Test Championship final as they maintained their 2nd spot in the WTC standings.
