In a show of solidarity, Australian batter Usman Khawaja plans to don shoes with messages in support of Palestinians in war-torn Gaza in the first Test against Pakistan.
A Sydney Morning Herald report stated that Khawaja, who has expressed his support for the situation in Gaza through social media, has shoes with messages, 'All Lives Matter' and 'Freedom is a Human Right' written on them.
The messages are written in the Palestinian flag's colours.
He wore the shoes during a training session on December 12 and confirmed to the Sydney Morning Herald that he will wear them on December 14 when Australia take on Pakistan in Perth.
This decision by Khawaja will conflict with the International Cricket Council's rules regarding political messaging on-field.
In November, the Australia-India World Cup Final was interrupted by a Palestine supporter who ran past fences and hugged India's Virat Kohli.
