Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar has said that Team India shouldn't forget the ODI series loss amid the noise created by the IPL that begins on March 31.
Gavaskar said, "Now the IPL starts. This (series defeat) shouldn't be forgotten. India sometimes make the mistake of forgetting, but this one shouldn't be because in the World Cup, we may face Australia again."
Gavaskar further added that India lost the final ODI due to the pressure created by the Aussies. He said the boundaries had dried up and with the batters also struggling to rotate the strike, they played shots they weren't used to.
India lost the final ODI by 21 runs, going down 1-2 in the 3-match series, their first series loss at home in 4 years.
