The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to use Dukes balls for the first time in the forthcoming 2022 National Cricket League, the country's annual first-class competition which will take place from October 10-November 17.
The BCB believes playing domestic cricket with the Dukes will help Bangladeshi players prepare for international tours. In fact, the Bangladeshi bowlers used the Dukes for the first time on their tour of the West Indies in July.
The board believes the change will help its cricketers get accustomed to the Dukes that is currently used in the West Indies and England. While most other Test-playing nations opt for the Kookaburra cherries, India prefers the SG.
