West Indies' Andre Russell, New Zealand's Trent Boult and Afghanistan's Rashid Khan are among the 12 overseas players who have been named in the star-studded platinum category for first round of the Big Bash League draft.
The 12 international players who will be paid US$ 233,853 approximately were confirmed on Monday after the registration process closed on the previous evening.
Apart from Russell, Boult, and Rashid, the list includes Faf du Plessis, Jason Roy, Liam Livingstone, Kieron Pollard, Shadab Khan, David Willey, Dwayne Bravo, Sam Billings and Chris Jordan.
Of these 12 names, Rashid Khan (Adelaide Strikers), Billings (Sydney Thunder), Russell (Melbourne Star), Jordan & Shadab Khan (Sydney Sixers) are available for retention by their respective clubs from previous seasons.
Meanwhile, David Warner is set to return to the Big Bash League after 9 years. The Australian ace who last played in the 2013 edition has signed a 2-year-deal with the Sydney Thunder.
