BCCI on Wednesday announced India's squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022 to be played in Bangladesh. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Women in Blue with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy.
Batter Jemimah Rodrigues who hadn't played international cricket since the Commonwealth Games and also missed the recently-concluded T20I series against England due to a hand injury returned to the 15-member roster.
All the players who featured for India in the England T20I series have been named in the squad except for Taniyaa Bhatia and Simran Dil Bahadur who will travel as reserves

The Women's Asia Cup returns after a four-year hiatus and will be played from 1 to 15 October with India starting their campaign on the opening day against Sri Lanka. The marquee clash against arch-rivals Pakistan is scheduled on October 7.
