It was a roller coaster for Team India with hits and misses alike. While the Men in Blue had an outstanding year when it comes to bilateral series, they were a terrible failure in tournaments-- unable to lift the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup both.
However, as the year ended BCCI named the best batter and bowler in all three formats on 31st December 2022. While the Indian board named Rishabh Pant who scored 680 runs in 7 matches this year was named the best Test batsman, Bumrah with 22 wickets in 5 matches was announced as the best Test bowler
In ODIs, Shreyas Iyer and Moh Siraj were adjudged the best batter and bowler in the format. Iyer scored 724 runs in 17 matches, in 2022 and Siraj picked 24 wickets in 15 matches.
In the shortest format of the game, Suryakumar Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were named the best players. SKY collected 1164 runs in 31 matches and Bhuvi picked 37 wickets in 32 games in 2022.
