England all-rounder Ben Stokes made a special announcement on his social media handle prior to England's tour of Pakistan and promised to donate all of his match fees from the Test series to the Pakistan flood appeal.
England will play a Test Series in Pakistan after a gap of 17 years.
"The game has given me a lot in my life and I feel it’s only right to give something back that goes far beyond cricket," Stokes said on Twitter.
"Hopefully this donation can go towards the rebuilding of areas of Pakistan most affected by the flooding,' he added.
Pakistan had experienced the worst floods ever recently which led to many houses, schools, and public property destroyed in the region.
The test series will be a part of the ICC World Test Championship cycle and will have matches in Rawalpindi, Multan, and Karachi.
