7th October, 2023 will always remain a special date for Canada as this Saturday will be remembered as the day when they qualified for the T20 World Cup for the first time in their history.

Canada beat Bermuda by 39 runs to finish level on points in the double round-robin qualifying group, but to secure a place in the next year's tournament on back of better net run rate.

The ninth edition of the T20 World Cup, which has been expanded to 20 teams, will be held in the United States and the West Indies in June.

Previously, Canada featured in the ODI World Cup but this is the first time that they qualified for a major international tournament since 2011.
