Cricket Australia set to relocate Covid-affected BBL to Melbourne

To avoid any further interruptions due to the rising Covid-19 cases in the Big Bash League, Cricket Australia is set to gradually shift the domestic league to Melbourne.

CA CEO Nick Hockle said that the board was planning to relocate all 8 teams inside a bio-bubble in Melbourne as it will make it easier for the organisers to reschedule the fixtures in the event of postponement of matches due to any further Covid-19 cases.

The BBL has been rocked by the Coronavirus with numerous positive cases being reported across eight franchises, forcing postponement and last-minute rescheduling of matches.
