With the IPL Auction going on, Australian cricketer David Warner revealed through an Instagram story that his former IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad have blocked him on both Twitter and Instagram.
Warner, who intended to extend his congratulations to Pat Cummins and Travis Head on joining the Sunrisers, discovered he was unable to access the franchise's social media profiles.
The story shared by Warner included screenshots showing that he was restricted from viewing the IPL team's profiles. He expressed his inability to repost Travis Head's story due to being blocked by Sunrisers Hyderabad on social media platforms.
This revelation sparked a backlash among fans who criticized Sunrisers Hyderabad for blocking their former captain. Warner, who played for the team from 2014 to 2021, notably led them to an IPL title in 2016, scoring a remarkable 848 runs during the season.
The franchise had dropped him from the playing XI after an indifferent run during IPL 2021, following which he joined the Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2022 edition.
