Following the tradition, England on Wednesday announced its playing XI for the 3rd Test against India starting Thursday in Rajkot.

The Three Lions made one change as Mark Wood returned to the playing XI, replacing spinner Shoaib Bashir.

The visitors went in with just one pacer James Anderson for the 2nd Test, which they lost. Bashir, who made his Test debut, had a forgettable game. After being smashed for 138 runs in the 1st innings, he went for 58 runs in 15 overs in the 2nd innings.

The team will be led by Ben Stokes, who is set to make his 100th Test appearance.

While England won the 1st Test in Hyderabad, Team India bounced back to level the 5-match series 1-1 in Vizag.

England Playing XI for 3rd Test vs India:

Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes (C), Ben Foakes, Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley, Mark Wood, James Anderson
